I am an avid runner and I know what it is like to be injured and unable to participate in the sport I love most. Throughout my life as a runner, middle school, high school, D1 Cross Country and track, and various competitive races in my adult life, I have dealt with injuries and worked through them from a physical and mental perspective. Managing and understanding injury is difficult. I know that from a firsthand, personal experience level, as well as from the scientific experience level. I will use an empathetic approach to help guide you through your injury to safely and most effectively get you back to doing the activities that you love! Whether that be to participate in your weekly yoga practice, play on your adult soccer team, walk 30 minutes on your lunch break, or qualify for the Boston Marathon!
Whatever your goals are, I will help you achieve them!
Whether you are preparing for an upcoming race or surgery, I know the value of being prepared for any major event. I fully believe that it is essential to be as strong and as healthy as you can be leading up to a big event, and I can help you reach your full potential.
Recovering fully and correctly from an injury or a major surgery is important and can alter the rest of your life. Having the right direction and education during the recovery process can set you up for an even better life. I will use my excellent manual skills, knowledge of the body and the deep understanding of the recovery process to help you achieve all your post-injury and post-surgical goals.
I know first hand that after an injury or surgery, your body is never going to be the same. With the proper maintenance program tailored to how you recovered from your specific past injury or past surgery and your current and future goals, you can set yourself up for success and decrease your likelihood of re-injury.
